Frame Projects >> Dogs get made up

The Dogs go to the Groomer

Sally brought in her puppy dogs (these are cross stitches that were done from pictures of her dogs) to have them reframed and made to look GOOD. Gayle & Judi picked out a few designs and then called Sally. Once a design had been decided on the restoration began. In the next few pictures I will explain the process.

The cross stitches came into our shop in ready made frames.

The cross stitches are in poor condition.

One of the cross stitches with the mat and fillet just setting on top of it before being fully assembled.

This is a picture of the backside of the mat board (the side that faces the cross stitch). The cross stitch will be protected from the acids in the fillet by the grey frame-sealing tape.

This is the backside of the mat board once again. The cross stitches had to be hinged onto the mat board itself to keep them from moving; there was very little wiggle room.

The other cross stitch completed.
